Tony Petrossian Directs Stellar Revival Debut Music Video “The Crazy Ones” For EMI Music

The Crazy Ones” music video from visionary director Tony Petrossian is now complete and can be viewed on YouTube or on Petrossian’s website.  This is the first music video for EMI Music’s newest rock band, Stellar Revival.  Petrossian’s prior works include videos in the rap world for artists such as DMX, Ludacris, and Master P and rock artists like Rise Against, Taking Back Sunday and Slipknot. Aside from bands, Petrossian also directs TV spots for global brands like McDonald’s, Nike and Coca Cola.

“The Crazy Ones” music video employs Petrossian’s mastery of visual illusions and his keen storytelling sense to harness the raw energy of Stellar Revival’s rebellious musical grit. An elaborate digital shattering of a glass wall visually and emotionally punctuates the project and in many ways alludes to Stellar Revival breaking out as a band onto a bigger stage.

“Working on music videos allows me to write ideas that really resonate with me on a personal level,” said Petrossian, “The imagery in this video captured the visceral emotion of the song for me. It represents a sense of there being no containment.” Petrossian’s projects have been seen by billions of people worldwide while garnering nearly half-a-billion combined views on YouTube alone.  “I love music videos and I will always do them because they empower the director to create visual and story concepts from the ground up and shepherd them to fruition.  This experience fires me up to do more videos.”

His success directing music videos has helped fuel a quickly blossoming commercial directing career.  And Petrossian recently signed to the commercial division of Hollywood production company Rhythm + Hues.  “I was hooked up with a stretch of commercial projects and when I came up for air I realized it was time for a music video again,” reveals Petrossian.

Primary production on the music video for Stellar Revival’s first track from the just-released debut album, Love, Lust, and Bad Company through EMI Music North America, took place in downtown Los Angeles earlier this year.  Petrossian remained hard at work with his post-production team though the video’s delivery date. This is typical of Petrossian as he prefers to work closely with clients through every stage of production from idea conception to final cut.
